For approximately 7 days following the procedure your lips will appear dry and chapped and you will need to apply the after-care balm provided to keep lips moisturized and protected, especially before a shower. Use a Q-tip to to clean lightly with warm water then apply lip balm. To be certain color is not compromised, please avoid the following for two weeks after the treatment: swimming, tanning, lip makeup and spicy foods.  Please drink beverages through a straw and try to eat clean to avoid messy and acidic food from compromising the color and the natural peeling process.
